Dewald Nel, the Kent and Scotland seam bowler, will leave the club after on-going injury problems.
He joined Kent in 2010, having made 18 one-day international and 10 Twenty20 appearances for Scotland, and took 9 for 119 in the final game Championship game of the season but has been unable to shake off a back injury.
"Having finished on such a high last year, I was really looking forward to this season," he said. "However, it is with great regret that I have decided to leave Kent due to an on-going back problem.
"I would like to thank everyone for their support during my time at Kent, I will hold fond memories of The Garden of England and I wish the club and its players a successful 2011 season."
