304 - Margin of victory for India, their biggest away win. Their previous biggest win outside India was by 279 runs against England at Headingley in 1986. Overall, this is India's fourth-biggest win in terms of runs.
0 - Bigger defeats for Sri Lanka in Tests than this one. Their previous biggest loss was against Pakistan at the P Sara Oval in 1994. In fact two of Sri Lanka's top-three defeats have come this year. They lost by 282 runs in Cape Town in January.
3 - Wins for Kohli in Sri Lanka, the joint-most for any visiting captain. Ricky Ponting also won three Tests when Australia whitewashed Sri Lanka 3-0 in 2003-2004. All other India captains combined had won only four out of 18 Tests in Sri Lanka.
1376 - Runs scored in this Test, the second-most of the 30 Galle Tests. The only higher run aggregate is 1613 runs in the Sri Lanka-Bangladesh Test in 2012-13. Overall, this is the ninth-highest-scoring Test in Sri Lanka.
550 - Target set by India, the second-biggest they have ever set in Tests. The biggest was 617 against New Zealand in Wellington in 2008-09. That Test ended in a draw. This is only the fifth time India have set a target of 500 or more in Tests.
6/138 - Ravindra Jadeja's figures in this match - his best in an away Test. His previous best was 6 for 154 in Durban in 2012-13. He has 27 wickets in nine away Tests at an average of 37.62.
1 - Virat Kohli scored his first century in the third innings of Tests. Before this, he had averaged only 27.12 in the third innings with highest of 96. This was also the first time he had remained not out in the third innings. His overall batting average went past 50 again.
2009 - The last time India's top four batsmen scored three or more centuries between them in a Test. Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara and Kohli scored centuries in this match. Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid had made centuries against Sri Lanka in Kanpur in 2009-10.
0 - Number of times Ashwin had dismissed a batsman in the 90s in his International career before this match. He did so for the first time in this match, bowling Dimuth Karunaratne for 97. It was his 480th International wicket. Karunaratne was stranded in the 90s for 32 balls before getting out.
8 - Test wins for India when none of their bowlers picked up more than three wickets in an innings. In this match, the best figures were Ashwin's 3 for 65 in the second innings. The last two instances were in Mohali, against England in 2016 and Australia in 2013. The last such away win was in Kingston in 2011. This is only the third such instance in a Test in Sri Lanka.
