South Africa wrapped up the series, as de Kock delivered another commanding display to make 106, this time showing the patience of a man far older than his 20 years. He hit just nine fours, a stark contrast to the 18 - as well as three sixes - that had punctuated his hundred at the Wanderers three days earlier. At the other end throughout de Kock's innings stood Amla. On 59, he became the fastest batsman to 4,000 one-day international runs (needing 81 innings, seven fewer than Viv Richards). Their partnership of 194 set South Africa on their way to 280 for six in 49 overs after rain lopped one off. In another batting disaster, India were bowled out for 146 with nearly 14 overs to spare. Only Raina and Jadeja made it past 20. Rahane, brought in for the unfit Yuvraj Singh, was unlucky to be given out caught behind: as the ball passed the bat, with Rahane aiming a full-blooded cut, the umpire was deceived by the sound of his necklace clattering against the grille of his helmet. Steyn's aggression was again too hot for the Indians to handle, but Tsotsobe's cold precision was even more dangerous, bringing him four for 25.
