XXXX Queensland Bulls batsman Stuart Law is set to prove his recovery from a broken finger following his selection today in Queensland's ING and Pura Cup teams to take on the Warriors in Perth this week.
Law, who injured his left ring finger in the Bulls outright win over the Southern Redbacks in their Pura Cup match at the Gabba prior to Christmas, tested his finger today in a net session and is expected to be given a final clearance following team training in Perth on Thursday.
The selectors have made one change to the Queensland team for the Pura Cup match that follows Friday's day/nighter at the WACA, with pace bowler Joe Dawes replacing Damien MacKenzie in the twelve for the four-day game.
The Bulls will be without Australian One Day players Matthew Hayden, Andy Bichel and Andrew Symonds for the matches, with the VB Series commencing on Friday in Melbourne.
Australia `A' off-spinner Nathan Hauritz will join his Queensland teammates in Perth on Thursday morning after playing in the one-day tour match against Zimbabwe in Adelaide on Wednesday.
WA currently lead the ING Cup on 19 points from five games, with the Bulls in fourth spot with nine points from four games. In the Pura Cup, Queensland are second on 14 points with the Warriors occupying last spot with two points from their five matches.
