Mithali Raj named captain for SL series

Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami have been included in India Women's forthcoming limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. Both players were left out of the three-match series against Bangladesh Women in April 2013 which was India's only bit of cricket after the ICC Women's World Cup in February 2013.

Another player to make a comeback in the squad is the experienced Amita Sharma who was also left out for the series against Bangladesh. Harmanpreet Kaur, who led the team in Raj's absence, has been named the vice-captain for both ODI and T20 squad.

The series kicks off on January 19 with the first of three ODIs, to be played in Visakhapatnam. They will be followed by three T20s; the first two T20s will be played in Vizianagaram before the teams move back to Visakhapatnam for the last match to be played on January 28.
