Provisional South African squad for Morocco tournament

The National Selectors have named a provisional 18-man squad for the Morocco Cup One-Day International tournament in Tangier in August between South Africa, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

The National Selectors have named a provisional 18-man squad for the Morocco Cup One-Day International tournament in Tangier in August between South Africa, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The convenor of national selectors, Omar Henry, said today that the squad would be reduced after the training camp which is to be held in Centurion from 17-19 July. "When we reduce the squad we will take everything into account, including fitness. We have not yet decided on the size of the final squad," Henry said.
National coach Eric Simons said the main purpose of the camp would be to give the players who are in the country and who have not been playing through the winter a chance to start batting and bowling intensively again. "Then they will have another 10 days or so in their provinces to refine things before we get together as a squad again at the end of July. This first camp is also an opportunity for me to get together with the squad for the first time so we can discuss issues together."
Four players - Shaun Pollock, Paul Adams, Nicky Boje and Allan Donald - will not be able to attend the camp due to county commitments in England.
A second camp will be held over four days from July 31 in Centurion.
