Vikram Solanki will lead the England Lions in their one-day tour match against the Indians at Northampton. Chris Schofield and Darren Maddy, named in the Twenty20 World Championship squad, are included while Paul Nixon has been handed the wicketkeeping gloves.
Luke Wright, the leading run-scorer in this year's Twenty20, is also named after earning a call for the World Championship. Jon Lewis, who performed well on Twenty20 Finals Day but missed out on both limited-overs squads, has a chance to lead the attack alongside James Kirtley.
Ian Bell, who was dropped for the South Africa trip, gets a chance to warm-up for the seven ODIs against India. Nixon's selection as keeper suggests he is still England's No. 2 for one-day cricket despite a prolific season for Warwickshire's Tim Ambrose, who played the four-day match against the Indians.
