The Sri Lankans were restricted to 209, the lowest total of the tournament. Klusener then followed up his catches with 99 off 96 balls, hitting 11 fours and two sixes. He added 79 with captain Cronje to pull his team from the uncertainty of 109 for four and chart a course for victory, which they achieved with more than nine overs in hand.
