David Warner celebrated his landmark 100th ODI with a century at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. He became only the eighth player to score a century in his hundredth ODI and the first in over 10 years. Out of these eight performances, three have come against India. Apart from Warner, Chris Cairns (in 1999) and Ramnaresh Sarwan (in 2006) got there against India as well.

Four other Australia players have scored fifties in their 100th match, including their current captain Steven Smith in this series.

Warner has now accumulated 4217 runs at average of 44.86. Only Hashim Amla had a higher tally from his first 100 ODIs - 4808 runs at 53.42. This was Warner's 14th century, which is also second only to Amla in terms of most centuries in first 100 ODIs. Amla had scored 16 by this point of his career, while Kohli comes third with 13. Quinton de Kock has 12 100s in 85 ODIs.

Warner getting to the second position on the table above is quite a remarkable achievement when you consider he was averaging just 31.40 after his 50th ODI and had scored only two centuries. In his second set of 50 ODIs, which began from January 2015, he has amassed 2678 runs at 59.51 with 12 centuries. He has converted 12 of his 18 fifties into centuries in this period. In his first 50 ODIs, he had converted only two of his 12 fifties into hundreds. No player has more runs or hundreds in ODIs since 2015 than Warner.
