Zander de Bruyn, the Warriors captain and allrounder, will miss the MTN Domestic Championship final on Thursday after being found guilty of breaching the Cricket South Africa code of conduct.
The disciplinary hearing arose after an incident that took place during the MTN Domestic Championship semi-final between the Eagles and Warriors at Bloemfontein on November 10.
De Bruyn was found guilty of breaching CSA's clause (1.1) of the rules and code of conduct on the basis of time wasting and was sentenced to a one match suspension with immediate effect, which rules him out of the final.
In a separate incident Albie Morkel, the Titans allrounder, was also found guilty of a code of conduct breach. He was found to have brought the game into disrepute following an incident during the Titans's match against the Eagles at Centurion Park on November 3.
Morkel was handed a suspended one match ban which will be effective until the end of the 2007-08 season.
