Australia v South Africa, 2014-15

Wisden's review of the second Twenty20 International, Australia v South Africa, 2014-15

15-Apr-2015
At Melbourne, November 7, 2014 (floodlit). Australia won by seven wickets. Toss: South Africa.
A much-improved Australian bowling performance kept South Africa under the cosh from the start. Bollinger and Faulkner produced bounce and hostility, and were backed up by superb spells from Cummins and leg-spinner Boyce, who lured two right-handers out of the crease to be stumped by Dunk, called up for the series following 229 not out for Tasmania in October (breaking Phillip Hughes's Australian List A record). Duminy attempted a salvage job, but South Africa's total was made to look inadequate by Australia's top three. Maxwell, rushed into the side from the Test squad that had just returned from the UAE, sliced his second ball to backward point, to give 19-year-old seamer Kagiso Rabada his first international wicket.
Man of the Match: C. J. Boyce.
