Of all Bangladesh's losses this may have hurt the most, because they were denied victory by the umpires' discretion. With three needed off the final ball, Tissara Perera delivered a high full toss to Anamul Haque, who had just hit him for three fours; it flew skywards off the top edge, and Perera himself settled beneath it for the catch. Anamul protested that it was a no ball, and the umpires conferred, before sending the decision upstairs. The footage showed the delivery was almost exactly waist-height, and the decision could have gone either way. But the third umpire ruled in favour of Sri Lanka, who retained their No. 1 ranking in the format.
