India A v West Indians, 2014-15

Wisden's review of the second Tour match, India A v West Indians, 2014-15

15-Apr-2015
At Mumbai (Wankhede), October 5, 2014 (day/night). India A won by 16 runs. ‡India A 282 (48.1 overs) (U. Chand 101, K. K. Nair 64; J. E. Taylor 3-51); West Indians 266-9 (50 overs)
(D. Ramdin 102, D. J. G. Sammy 50, J. O. Holder 54; D. S. Kulkarni 3-39). A morale-boosting win for the West Indians looked on the cards while Denesh Ramdin and Darren Sammy were putting on 101 for the fifth wicket. But Ramdin departed in the 45th over, after a run-a-ball 102. Then, with 23 needed from ten deliveries, three wickets went down in eight. The last two balls were faced by the former Test opener Stuart Williams, the West Indians' 45-year-old assistant coach, playing because the squad had been struck by injuries and illness. Earlier, Chand had continued his good form, sharing a second-wicket stand of 149 in 20 overs with Karun Nair.
