India v Bangladesh, 2015

Wisden's review of the third ODI, India v Bangladesh, 2015

15-Apr-2016
Third one-day international At Mirpur, June 24, 2015 (day/night). India won by 77 runs. India 317-6 (50 overs) (S. Dhawan 75, M. S. Dhoni 69, A. T. Rayudu 44, S. K. Raina 38; Mashrafe bin Mortaza 3-76); ‡Bangladesh 240 (47 overs) (Soumya Sarkar 40, Liton Das 34, Sabbir Rahman 43, Nasir Hossain 32; S. K. Raina 3-45). MoM: S. K. Raina. MoS: Mustafizur Rahman.
A fluent 73-ball 75 from Dhawan, a forthright innings from Dhoni, and a late flourish from Raina (38 from 21 balls) ensured India avoided an embarrassing whitewash. Bangladesh's new self-belief meant chasing down 318 wasn't out of the question, but the early loss of Tamim Iqbal set them back, before tight bowling from the spinners - Ashwin, Raina and Akshar Patel had combined figures of 27-2-124-6 - put India firmly in charge. Mustafizur Rahman (2-57) took his haul for the series to 13 wickets, a record for any three-match rubber (Ryan Harris picked up 13 in three for Australia against Pakistan in 2009-10, but missed two games of the five-match series).
