Only Gary Wilson stayed with him for long, helping add 134 for the third wicket, although Stuart Poynter (12*) did share a late stand of 73* in 7.1 overs. Afghanistan dipped to 119-6, though Najibullah Zadran and Rashid kept them in touch, putting on 93 in 13.3 overs.
