Kent v West Indies

Wisden's review of the second Tour match, Kent v West Indies

11-Mar-2018
At Canterbury, August 6-8. Drawn. Toss: West Indians. First-class debut: Z. Crawley. By the time lightning drove the players from the field on the third day, a draw was assured - but the West Indian batting had been unconvincing against a second-string attack. The Dartford seamer Charlie Hartley, in his first first-class match for three years (and his only one of 2017), took four wickets as the tourists picked their way to 265 on the first day. Shai Hope made 57, but his brother sHC: Presumably they went through the first-class season unbeaten?
Kyle played on for the third innings in a row. When Kent batted, Dickson added 182 for the second wicket with the 19-year-old debutant Zak Crawley, after Bell-Drummond fell in the first over. Dickson went on to 142, and allowed Billings, captaining Kent for the first time, to declare 66 ahead. Three wickets went down before the West Indians cleared the deficit, but there was not enough time for a positive result
