South Australia XI v South Africans
Wisden's review of the second tour match, South Australia XI v South Africans
Both sides chose from 15 players. The South Africans again batted well, Dean Elgar and Faf du Plessis putting on 179. Both retired after reaching their centuries, then de Kock just missed another. This time the opposition matched them: skipper Sam Raphael opened with 91, before wicketkeeper Tim Ludeman caned the bowling, hitting eight sixes as well as 20 fours. In a left-arm spinners' shoot-out, Keshav Maharaj's orthodox stuff proved more effective than Tabraiz Shamsi's chinamen (11-2-87-0).
