Bangladesh v Zimbabwe, 2015-16

Wisden's review of the first ODI, Bangladesh v Zimbabwe, 2015-16

15-Apr-2016
First one-day international At Mirpur, November 7, 2015 (day/night). Bangladesh won by 145 runs. Bangladesh 273-9 (50 overs) (Tamim Iqbal 40, Mushfiqur Rahim 107, Sabbir Rahman 57); ‡Zimbabwe 128 (36.1 overs) (L. M. Jongwe 39, E. Chigumbura 41; Shakib Al Hasan 5-47). MoM: Mushfiqur Rahim. Soft of hand and quick of foot, Mushfiqur Rahim set up Bangladesh's win with a calm hundred, his fourth in ODIs. Sabbir Rahman added a brisk half-century. Zimbabwe were never in touch. Luke Jongwe displayed flashes of talent after being promoted to open, then Chigumbura struck two defiant sixes - but Shakib Al Hasan tossed up some tempting offerings, and finished with career-best figures. Zimbabwe's wicketkeeper Richmond Mutumbami was hit on the ankle in the field, and unable to bat; he later returned home.
