Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 2012-13

A review of the fourth ODI, Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 2012-13

15-Apr-2013
At Hambantota, November 10, 2012 (day/night). Sri Lanka won by seven wickets (D/L). Toss: Sri Lanka. One-day international debut: A. F. Milne.
Rain delayed the start, reducing the match to 42 overs a side, then another downpour trimmed ten more off each team's allocation. By then, though, New Zealand were in deep trouble at 107 for seven in the 30th over after Jeewan Mendis claimed three wickets in five balls with his leg-spin. Sri Lanka's target was 131 in 32 overs, and they eased home to take the series 3-0 after a patient innings from Tillekeratne Dilshan's replacement Chandimal, whose 43 occupied 65 balls.
Man of the Match: B. M. A. J. Mendis.
