Matabeleland retained the Faithwear provincial one-day tournament with a crushing eight-wicket win over Msvingo at Harare Sports Club. Masvingo never recovered from losing early wickets after being out in to bat, and only Robertson Chinyengetere (34) built any innings of substance as Tawanda Mupariwa (3 for 29) and Greg Strydom (4 for 20) did most of the damage. Terry Duffin (20) and Tinashe Hove (56*) gave Matabeleland a solid start, and romped to victory with more than 23 overs to spare. The result meant that they won all four matches they played.
In the other remaining match, Manicaland beat Midlands by 47 runs after Manicaland made 169, with four batsmen passing 20 but none going on to make more than 25. In reply, Midlands never put together a partnership of note, with Matthew Waller's 41 the only threat to Manicaland, although wides was the second-highest scorer with 31.
