Bangladesh have named a 14-man Under-19 team to tour South Africa, where they will play one three-day game against the hosts followed by a triangular ODI tournament also featuring India Under-19.
All three teams will be eyeing the series as preparation for the U-19 World Cup, which will be held in February 2008 in Malaysia.
Bangladesh U-19 are fresh from a 3-2 series win over their Sri Lankan counterparts at home, and all the players named in the team for South Africa were given a chance during the recent series.
The side will be captained by left-arm spinner Suhrawadi Shuvo, but will be without opener Tamim Iqbal, who is touring New Zealand along with the national team.
The team begins the tour with a three-day match against South Africa U-19 starting December 27 in Potchefstroom, before playing six one-day games in the triangular tournament, the final of which is scheduled for January 8 in Pretoria.
