Batting Style

Playing Role

Opening Batter

Mohammad Naim is a tall, left-hand, top-order batter who hasn't had the solid international career that many in Bangladesh thought he would.

Hailing from Faridpur, Naim played the Under-18 World Cup in 2018 and took the conventional age-group route to making his international debut at the age of 20 in 2019. He began brightly enough, scoring 81 off 48 balls in one of the T20Is against India.

Naim made two half-centuries in the 2021 T20 World Cup, but scored at a strike-rate of only 110.82 in seven matches. He was in and out of Bangladesh's white-ball squads after that, filling in when others failed at the top of the order. He was briefly considered as a replacement for Tamim Iqbal but poor form cost him a regular place in the set-up.
