0.6 to SE Marsh, edged and taken! The ploy to start with David works! Hard length on off, and the ball keeps coming back in with the angle. Marsh tries to dab it away but because the ball has come back in, he is cramped for room. In the end, he feathers it through to McDermott, who snares a sharp chance. Early strife for the Renegades!. 0/1

17.1 to JM Cox, Meredith gets the big fish! Hard length on middle and leg, and this seems to rush onto Cox. He makes room to go over mid on but the extra pace means that he cloths it. Jordan takes a couple of steps back and completes a regulation catch!. 116/4
402917.251010
9.6 to J Fraser-McGurk, straight to Jordan at long on! Length on middle and leg. JFM clears his front hip a touch and channels his inner MS Dhoni. Whips through the ball but his helicopter shot neither fetches the distance he desires or the elevation. Straight to Jordan, and he accepts the offering with glee!. 50/3

7.6 to Q de Kock, soft dismissal! de Kock's BBL (batting wise, at least) ends with a whimper! Full and wide outside off. de Kock's eyes light up looking at the width and he tries to slice it over backward point. The ball, though, is too full and he does not get the requisite elevation to clear backward point. Simple catch in the end, and the Renegades lose their second!. 41/2

2.6 to CP Jewell, knocks him over with a peach! Full on middle and off, and this one seems to jag away just a smidgen. Jewell's feet go nowhere and he is caught on the crease. Prods at it, more in hope than anticipation, and sees the ball thud into the top of off stump. What a way to get your first BBL wicket!. 27/1
6.1 to BR McDermott, chops it on! O'Neill has two on debut, and the Hurricanes are rocking now! Back of a length outside off. McDermott, having taken a step down the track, tries to force it through the off side. Plays at it with an angled bat, though, and all he does is drag it back onto his stumps. Huge moment in the game!. 48/3

5.3 to M Wright, Zampa likes it, Oxenford does not! The Renegades go upstairs! Full and flat on off stump. Wright shuffles across, shaping for the paddle sweep. Misses it completely and gets pinged on the front pad. Interestingly, Oxenford was ready to give it as a leg bye, perhaps indicating he felt the impact was outside the line. No bat or glove involved. Ball Tracking comes up...impact is in line, and Ball Tracking reckons the ball would have smashed into middle stump! Zampa into the act straightaway!. 46/2

16.6 to SR Hain, fifty and out! Full outside off. Just short of yorker and Hain thinks he can carve this over backward point. Gets a bit of an outside edge, though, and Zampa stoops down low at short third to send Hain back on his way. He has done his job, though, bringing the Hurricanes to the cusp of their second successive win!. 132/4
