30.4 to Pratika Rawal, completely did her in. This was a beautifully flighted stock ball from Mlaba, that dipped on Rawal (she stayed in her crease rather than coming forward to it), and it turned to beat the outside edge of a defensive prod, and crash into off. That might have been a little loss of concentration from Rawal, who'd been batting so well. But it was a fine ball from Mlaba too.. 151/2 32.3 to H Deol, slips one right through Deol. This is full, and hung out a little bit outside off. Deol comes down the track but yorks herself a little, and the ball slides into the off stump. 18.3 to S Mandhana, they've strangled one down the legside. This was short, about waist-height, but misdirected slightly past the thigh pad. But this is an on-target length ball from Reddy, and all Meso ends up doing is outside-edging it on to the top of her bails. 30.3 to L Goodall, Straight through! Rana returns with a bang! This was another arm ball, and Goodall has played all around it. Looks to drive but it's snuck right through and clattered into the stumps. 151/2 another wicket! It's Brits this time, and thats a HUUUUGE blow. Brits is down the track trying to slam this down the ground, but she gets too close to the pitch of the ball (it was a quickish one from Rana) and all she does is give the bowler a return catch at belly-height, which she receives gleefully.. 170/2 45.5 to CL Tryon, in the air and big shouts of catch it. Rana strikes and India are back in this now. This wasn't a massive shot from Tryon, who i don't think was trying to hit the boundary - only to chip into the outfield. She was down the track slightly and lifting this legside. But it floats out all the way to deep midwicket, where the catch is pouched without much effort. 240/5 47.2 to N de Klerk, slips it through her defences! Rana bowled a match-turning spell against Sri Lanka. is she doing it again. She beats de Klerk with a little extra pace, I think. This is full, and there to be swept, but Rana has shot this one through before de Klerk gets her bat into position. It spins into middle and leg.. 250/6 47.4 to A Dercksen, Rana strikes again! This was Dercksen again going to that favoured legside, trying to slog sweep Rana over deep square leg. She doesn't strike it cleanly though, and the deep square leg fielder picks that up comfortably, and completes the catch around knee-height in the outfield. 251/7 47.6 to T Brits, another wicket! It's Brits this time, and thats a HUUUUGE blow. 27.5 to L Wolvaardt, And the pressure pays off! India finally have the breakthrough! Wolvaardt goes back to another on a good length, pitching just outside off, and turning back in. She was aiming to play this squarer, away from those two straight fielders in front of square on the onside, but ends up getting rapped on the pads in front of middle and leg. She's trapped in a her crease to boot, and this was very likely clipping leg stump. 140/1 | ||||||||||
