NZ's experienced trio of Devine, Bates and Tahuhu level series 1-1

Radha-Thakor pair post India's highest partnership for the ninth wicket in ODIs to reduce the margin of defeat

New Zealand 259 for 9 (Devine 79, Bates 58, Radha 4-69) beat India 183 (Radha 48, Devine 3-27, Tahuhu 3-42) by 76 runs
It was a day when Radha Yadav could do everything: fly like a superwoman to grab two stunning catches, take 4 for 69 with the ball, be India's top-scorer with 48 from No. 9, and help add 70 with Saima Thakor for the ninth wicket. That was not only India's highest stand in pursuit of 260 against New Zealand on Sunday, but also their highest ODI partnership for the ninth wicket.
But unfortunately for India, all those performances could not help them avoid defeat. New Zealand, led by an all-round show from their captain Sophie Devine, sealed a comfortable 76-run win to take the series into the decider. Not only that, New Zealand also grabbed crucial points in the Women's Championship to remain afloat for direct qualification for next year's ODI World Cup.

Lewis' 61-ball century trumps Kusal's 19-ball fifty in 23-over shootout

SL scored 156 in rain-reduced game, with WI's target revised to 195, and Sherfane Rutherford smashed 50* off 26 deliveries

(23 overs) West Indies 196 for 2 (Lewis 102*, Rutherford 50*, Asitha 1-39) beat Sri Lanka 156 for 3 (Kusal 56, Nissanka 56, Chase 1-20) by eight wickets (DLS method)
After a series in which they consistently failed to get the rub of the green, the stars finally aligned for West Indies as they ended their tour of Sri Lanka with a morale-boosting win. Evin Lewis, playing his first ODI since 2021, struck an unbeaten 102 off 61 balls, as West Indies chased down a DLS-adjusted target of 195 in a rain-reduced game of 23 overs with eight wickets to spare. In fact, they got the required runs with an over to spare. It was their first ODI win in Sri Lanka following ten straight defeats, and their first win on this tour since the first T20I.
Sri Lanka, for their part, had put up a valiant effort after their innings had been cut into less than half. The first 17.2 overs had come prior to the rain intervention, and upon resumption, they were given just a further 5.4 overs to set a competitive total.

New Zealand 259 (Conway 76, Ravindra 65, Washington 7-59, Ashwin 3-64) and 255 (Latham 86, Phillips 48*, Washington 4-56, Jadeja 3-72) beat India 156 (Jadeja 38, Santner 7-53, Phillips 2-26) and 245 (Jaiswal 77, Jadeja 42, Santner 6-104) by 113 runs
Mitchell Santner, never more than three wickets in an innings or six in a match, bowled New Zealand to a historic win in Pune with match figures of 13 for 157, the third-best by any visiting bowler in India. He bowled 29 overs on the trot for six wickets in the second innings to go with his unbroken spell of 19.3 overs in the first innings for 7 for 53 to give New Zealand their first series win in India and India their first home series defeat since 2012.
Despite a sore side, Santner missed just one over from his end since he started bowling in the first innings. He was instrumental in intercepting India's audacious bid for a chase of 359, which was fuelled by Yashasvi Jaiswal's 77 off 65 that took India to 96 for 1 at better than a run a ball. Santner had little support from the other end as Ajaz Patel's ordinary series continued and Glenn Phillips mixed easy deliveries with good ones.

Shakeel, Sajid, Noman leave England on the ropes as Pakistan surge

Rehan claims four wickets for England but late collapse leaves series hopes on the brink

England 267 (Smith 89, Duckett 52, Sajid 6-128) and 24 for 3 (Root 5*, Brook 3*) trail Pakistan 344 (Shakeel 134, Sajid 48*, Noman 45, Rehan 4-66) by 53 runs
It is rare for a Test to have shifted as far back and forth as this third Test between Pakistan and England has in the space of two days. But a gutsy century from Saud Shakeel, and allround brilliance from Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, lifted the hosts from the gutter to the top of the mountains of Rawalpindi. A first home series win since 2021 is in view.
Shakeel's remarkable 134 from 223 deliveries - his fourth in Tests - dragged Pakistan to 344, boasting a vital first-innings lead of 77. That was ultimately achieved thanks to vital lower-order assistance from Noman Ali (45) and Sajid Khan (48 not out) in stands of 88 and 72 before they resumed their primary roles to run roughshod over England's top-order once more, leaving them 24 for 3 at the close.

Santner, Latham give NZ a shot at maiden series win in India

NZ captain scored 86 after Santner bagged 7 for 53, with visitors ending day two 301 runs ahead

New Zealand 259 and 198 for 5 (Latham 86, Blundell 30*, Washington 4-56) lead India 156 (Jadeja 38, Santner 7-53, Phillips 2-26) by 301 runs
New Zealand took massive strides towards doing the unthinkable: not just their first Test series win in India, but also India's first series defeat at home in 12 years. Mitchell Santner, who had never taken four wickets in an innings before this Test, and with just one first-class five-for to his name, tied India to the crease and took seven wickets to bowl India out for 156. The batters, led by Tom Latham, did some efficient front-running by attacking the Indian spinners to end the day with a lead of 301 runs with five wickets in hand.
India have only twice overturned a lead of 100 to win a Test: the great Kolkata Test in 2000-01, and a successful chase of over 400 in Port-of-Spain in 1976, for long the highest in Test cricket. They found themselves in this situation because their legendary spinners were outbowled by two who came into the match with two first-class five-fors between them. Glenn Phillips was Santner's partner in crime, taking out the two dangerous left-hand batters, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant.

New South Wales 336 for 8 (Gilkes 74, Maddinson 63, Smith 56, Siddle 5-49) beat Victoria 196 (Short 80, Green 3-27, Anderson 3-37) by 140 runs
Steven Smith found some form while Pat Cummins made a successful return after a long layoff as New South Wales hammered Victoria in a their One-Day Cup clash at the Junction Oval after Josh Hazlewood was a late omission when he woke up ill.
An early rain delay allowed both sides to attend a pre-match ceremony where Cricket Victoria unveiled the renamed Shane Warne stand on the western side of the ground. But shortly before that ceremony, Hazlewood walked out of the venue unaccompanied and headed back to the hotel on orders of the NSW team doctor having woken up feeling ill.
