Stumps India 86 for 4 (Gill 31*, Jaiswal 30, Ajaz 2-33) trail New Zealand 235 (Mitchell 82, Young 71, Jadeja 5-65, Washington 4-81) by 149 runs
Ravindra Jadeja bowled 22 unchanged overs in the oppressive heat and humidity of Mumbai to pick up his 14th Test five-wicket haul and help bowl New Zealand out for 235. However, India threw away the advantage with the loss of three wickets in the last two overs of the day to end at 86 for 4.
Jadeja had to work much harder for his wickets than New Zealand did at the fag end of the day. It included bowling through the whole middle session, during which Washington Sundar, who took four wickets, went off the field to rehydrate, and the batters got drinks almost every three overs.

Evin Lewis fireworks, Gudakesh Motie four-for power West Indies to huge win

Hosts too strong as England team featuring four debutants is gunned down in Antigua

West Indies 157 for 2 (Lewis 94) beat England 209 (Livingstone 48, Motie 4-41) by eight wickets (DLS)
The only way is up as England seek to reboot their once-glorious white-ball fortunes, but on the evidence of a deeply one-sided first ODI against West Indies, the journey to the 2027 World Cup will be long, arduous and - perhaps most significantly - unfamiliar to a new generation of cricketers whose lack of experience in 50-over cricket was all too plain to see in Antigua.
The format's rhythms weren't quite such a mystery to the man who gunned them down, however. Evin Lewis had been absent from West Indies' ODI plans for more than three years until last weekend, when he announced his second coming with a 61-ball century in Sri Lanka. Now he added a startlingly violent 94 from 69 balls, making light of a two-paced pitch and a stodgy outfield to blaze eight sixes - one for each of the wickets by which his team eventually won. It might even have been nine for nine had he connected properly with the shot that got him out, an inside-out slap to wide long-off, with victory already in the bag.

Konstas, Bancroft and Harris unable to make an impression against India A

Brendan Doggett's six-for toppled the visitors before McSweeney was solid for Australia A

Australia A 99 for 4 trail India A 107 (Doggett 6-15) by eight runs
Events on the first day in Mackay were unlikely to have provided a definitive answer about who opens for Australia in Perth, but the selectors will have been left scratching their heads more than ever after Sam Konstas and Cameron Bancroft collected ducks and Marcus Harris couldn't convert a start for Australia A with Nathan McSweeney doing most to advance his credentials.
When McSweeney inserted India A, thoughts were that the batting contest may have to wait a while, but after Brendan Doggett bagged a career-best 6 for 15 - in conditions that offered some assistance throughout to make life tricky for the batters - contenders to partner Usman Khawaja in the first Test were taking strike before tea. And two of them were out before the interval.

South Africa 575 for 6 dec (de Zorzi 177, Stubbs 106, Mulder 105*) beat Bangladesh 143 (Mahmud 38, Maharaj 5-59, Muthusamy 4-45) and 159 (Mominul 82, Rabada 5-37, Paterson 2-31, Maharaj 2-57) by an innings and 273 runs
It was as complete a performance as South Africa could have hoped for with three centuries in the batting line-up and wickets for both seamers and spinners. They claimed 16 on the third day, with five-fors for both their champion seamer Kagiso Rabada and first-choice left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj. Spin-bowling allrounder Senuran Muthusamy also earned a career-best with a second-innings 4 for 45.

Bangladesh 38 for 4 (Mahmudul 10, Rabada 2-8, Maharaj 1-4) trail South Africa 575 for 6 dec (de Zorzi 177, Stubbs 106, Mulder 105*, Taijul 5-198) by 537 runs
Wiaan Mulder became the third maiden centurion for South Africa in the Chattogram Test, as the visitors completely dominated proceedings on the second day. They declared on 575 for 6, with Mulder, Tony de Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs hitting centuries, before their pacers knocked off Bangladesh's top three inside the first six overs.
The hosts sunk to 38 for 4 at stumps, as their recent batting frailties showed up even on the batting-friendly pitch of the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. Even an award of five penalty runs, due to the umpires finding Senuran Muthusamy damaging the pitch, couldn't inspire Bangladesh.

Adelaide Strikers 171 (Patterson 44, Wellington 40, Prendergast 39) beat Sydney Sixers 160 for 9 (Bryce 62, Perry 54, Mushangwe 3-27) by 11 runs
Bridget Patterson was involved in a nasty incident while wicketkeeping during Adelaide Strikers' victory over Sydney Sixers at North Sydney Oval where Amanda-Jade Wellington produced a key all-round display.
In the fourth over of Sixers' chase Patterson took a ball in the face from a 119kph delivery by Darcie Brown which pitched in front of her and kicked up, striking near the right eye. Patterson stayed on the ground with a physio and doctor quickly onto the field and after a few minutes was able to walk off. She remained at the venue for remainder of the game and will be further assessed in the coming days.

India 236 for 4 (Mandhana 100, Harmanpreet 59, Rowe 2-47) beat New Zealand 232 (Halliday 86, Plimmer 39, Deepti 3-39, Mishra 2-41) by 76 runs
After scores of 5 and 0 in the first two ODIs, Smriti Mandhana regained her touch in the series decider as she cracked her third ODI century of the year, helping India beat New Zealand by six wickets and take the three-match series 2-1. She was ably supported by first Yastika Bhatia (35) and then Harmanpreet Kaur (59 not out) as India put on a chasing masterclass in Ahmedabad.
Batting first, New Zealand rode largely on Brooke Halliday's career-best 86 off 96 balls as she lifted her side from the depths of 88 for 5 in the 24th over to 232 all out in 49.5 overs. Teams batting first won both ODIs in the series, but India were having none of it as the top order shone through in the chase as they romped home with 34 balls to spare.
