Aussie pace bowler Riley Meredith cranked it up in front of a raucous Cardiff crowd, taking 4 for 9 as Welsh Fire defeated Manchester Originals by 25 runs.
There were also three-fors for both Chris Green (3 for 19) and David Payne (3 for 14) as a brilliant fielding and bowling performance earned Fire a much deserved win.

Opener Sam Robson's stunning career best 169 not out off 139 balls helped Middlesex chase 388 - the highest ever successful List A run chase in England - to beat Durham by five wickets in a thrilling Metro Bank One Day Cup clash at the Banks Homes Riverside.
Durham pair Alex Lees and David Bedingham hit contrasting centuries in their imposing 387 for 4. Having been inserted, it was the county's highest ever home total in this format.

Will Smale scored the first hundred of his professional cricket career but as Glamorgan, the Metro Bank One-Day Cup's reigning champions, still lost to a Ben Foakes-inspired Surrey in a rain-shortened affair.
Smale, a 24-year-old from Newport playing his 15th List A match, finished on 105 not out from 106 balls and was chiefly responsible for Glamorgan reaching a 50-over total of 308 for 7 at The Kia Oval.

A last-ball six from Graham Clark saw Northern Superchargers defeat Southern Brave on their home turf in a nail-biting finish.
Put into bat, the Brave were soon in all kinds of trouble. Kiwi Jacob Duffy, fresh off the plane from a Test series with Zimbabwe, decimating their power-packed top-order, reducing them to 26 for 3 off 24 balls by dismissing Leus du Plooy, James Vince and Jason Roy.

An astonishing bowling performance from a high-class Manchester Originals attack saw them stroll to a facile seven-wicket win with 19 balls to spare to further their chances of progression as the Hundred women's competition hots up.
With her side having elected to bowl first, England starlet Mahika Gaur backed up her spell against London Spirit, bowling 20 of the first 25 balls to leave Welsh Fire in disarray at 12 for 2. She saw the back of England team-mates Sophia Dunkley and Tammy Beaumont in a spell where she made the ball talk and finished with 2 for 10.

Leicestershire built on a superb century from opener Sol Budinger to thrash neighbours Nottinghamshire by 124 runs in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup at Kibworth.
Budinger, who started his career at Trent Bridge, made 102 from 80 balls as Leicestershire made 333 for 8 from their 50 overs. It was his second hundred in three visits to Kibworth, and this one included three sixes and 13 fours. He shared a third-wicket stand of 106 in 15 overs with Shan Masood (50), his assault on the Outlaws bowling ended only by a brilliant boundary catch by Joe Pockington.

Ben Allison's career best figures of 6 for 35 helped Worcestershire secure a comfortable five-wicket win over Hampshire in Group A of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.
Allison bowled with pace and control from the outset, as regular wickets stunted Hampshire's progress, with Nick Gubbins' half-century the highlight in Hampshire's total of 194 all out.

Warwickshire completed back-to-back Metro Bank One-Day Cup wins with an emphatic 79-run victory over Kent at Rugby School.
The Bears posted 283 for 9 largely thanks to Ed Barnard (60) and Kai Smith (58). On a pitch offering some turn, they coped most capably with a spin attack led by Matt Parkinson who bowled beautifully for his 1 for 36 from 10 overs.

Southern Brave 103 for 2 (Wyatt-Hodge 43, Wolvaardt 33*) beat Northern Superchargers 102 (Armitage 36, Devine 3-15)
A tight bowling performance led by Sophie Devine followed by a comfortable run chase with Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Laura Wolvaardt at the helm saw Southern Brave easily defeat North Superchargers by eight wickets at Southampton and make it three wins from three in The Hundred women's competition.
Electing to bat first, Superchargers started in a subdued fashion, scoring just four from the first 10 balls and losing Alice Davidson-Richards (2) and Phoebe Litchfield (5) on the way to posting 19-2 in the 25-ball powerplay.

A brilliant unbeaten 69 from Liam Livingstone saw Birmingham Phoenix chase down Oval Invincibles' total of 180 for 8 with two balls to spare in a tense finish in the men's Hundred competition at Edgbaston.
South African Donovan Ferreira blazed a spectacular 63 from 29 balls for Invincibles but was upstaged by the Phoenix skipper who hit five sixes in his match-winning 27-ball innings.
