TEAMS
West Indies' search for a steady Test opener had landed them Kraigg Brathwaite in the early 2010s, and the search for a partner for him took them to Rajendra Chandrika prior to the home series against Australia in 2015. Chandrika had played five seasons of first-class cricket for Guyana by then, and an innings of 74, spanning over three hours (though it was followed by a first-ball duck) for a West Indies Board President's XI against the Australians got him into the Test side. Unfortunately for Chandrika, he got back-to-back ducks there, lasting seven and two balls respectively, with Mitchell Starc felling him both times. It did get a little better for him in subsequent Test matches, but a highest score of 37 - in a Test in Melbourne where he got 62 runs overall - meant that there wasn't a comeback for him after five Test matches, the last of them in 2016.
