over the wicket, goes full and slants it across off, firm push to long-on and brings up her half-century. Northern Superchargers advance to the finals on the back of Perrin's blistering century which is also the second-fastest in both the men's and women's competitions
N S-Chargers vs Spirit, Eliminator at London, Women's Hundred, Aug 30 2025 - Match Result
Davina Perrin, Match Hero: (Feeling) Pretty good, glad we got over the line today. I had some really good chats with the coaches yesterday. I'm always telling myself to enjoy it and soak it all in, take it ball by ball, and just let it flow. I love Sir Viv's flair and I admire Brian Lara's ability to score runs and that hunger he had. I've been watching their YouTube videos since I was about six or seven. I always try to channel that energy. I love the Windies and I love that era of cricket. Big up to the family...my family are my rock. They keep reminding me to stay humble. (On final) New ground, new team, different conditions… I take it as a token of confidence and just focus on adapting and staying in the moment
Perrin led the Superchargers to the Hundred final with a magnificent century! She powered her side to an impregnable score and the Spirit were under scoreboard pressure throughout the game. Superchargers were simply too good on the big day and weren't perturbed by the overcast conditions, eventually winning by a hefty margin of 42 runs. Spirit bow out with plenty of positives as, despite missing some of their key players, they performed well throughout the tournament. But today, they were outclassed in all departments. Superhcahrgers will take a lot of confidence from this win ahead of the final tomorrow against Brave
makes room and thrashes the back of a length ball outside off to extra cover
shortish in length and floating in the corridor, thumped back towards the bowler and a miss caught and bowled opportunity
length and keeping it nice and straight, pushed to long on
Smith misfields at deep midwicket, bit short on middle, gets low and whacked with aplomb to midwicket, not easy to field, wet conditons
around the wicket, floated full on middle, crouches and hoisted to deep midwicket, hit very hard and dropped by the fielder, Carey came in charging from the rope and got her hand to it, slippery conditions, ball went over her head and into the rope, misjudged it, didn't have to rush in
goes fuller on off, whipped aerially square of midwicket for a run
around the wicket, floated from outside off, worked to the on side
slip in place! almost snared a hattrcik, hard length and sends it floating in the corridor, she reaches out and the ball swirls away from her reach
back of the hand nip-backer on a teasing fuller length and it jags back just enough to beat the bat and thump the pads, umpire raises the finger quickly in agreement. Review taken straightaway. Clear gap between bat and pad echoes third ump. Let's move further to the ball tracking.
Loads up. Pitching in line, impact outside off andf hitting the top of middle so Gray will continue to walk off, just hoping against hope that it might just go over the stumps, big fist pump from Sutherland and a huge smile on her face, two in two for her after a torrid start earlier in the day
slow yorker dipping in at leg, goes leg side and fended to point, gobbled under throat, easy catch. It wasn't clubbed hard. Wheels continue to come off and Spirit are going down quickly
over the wicket, snorter of a bumper but with width, flashes and finds an outside edge that goes past the keeper and goes very fine, no chance for third man to mop it up
over the wicket, pitched up on fifth stump line or thereabouts, spooned straight to the fielder at mid off, no real conviction and power behind. Cross bringing all her vast experience to the fore and getting the job done, master of her craft, still going strong as she approaches the twilight of her career
goes full on sixth stump line, excellent use of the depth of the crease and executes a cute looking scoop over the keeper's head for a four. made it look very pleasing on the eyes
goes full on fifth stump line, opens the face and carves it away to backward point
length and almost touching the guideline on off, width this time and flashed away through point for a four, uses brute force in those wrists to manufacture a four
bit short and goes on with the arm, just outside leg stump, unable to connect on the pull
