McDermott, Silk, Milenko star in Tasmania's 317 chase

Lynn and Hemphrey carried Queensland to 316, but a hundred from McDermott and fifties from Silk and Milenko ensured the Tigers overhauled it

Tasmania 6 for 317 (McDermott 117, Silk 85, Steketee 4-85) beat Queensland 6 for 316 (Lynn 70, Hemphrey 58 Meredith 3-62) by four wickets
Former Queenslanders Ben McDermott and Simon Milenko came back to haunt the Bulls by topping and tailing Tasmania's successful chase of 317 for victory in the domestic limited-overs match in Townsville.
Queensland had appeared well placed with 316 to defend, driven largely by a well-modulated 70 from Chris Lynn and a supporting 58 from Charlie Hemphrey. They were in a still better position when Matthew Wade, who had lifted the Tigers to a match-winning tally against his own former team Victoria with a punishing century, was unable to repeat the act after a couple of early sixes.
Jake Doran also fell cheaply. However, Ben McDermott, the hard-hitting son of the former Test paceman Craig McDermott, played the dominant role in a staunch partnership with Jordan Silk that brought the target well into view. It was McDermott's second List A century and an indicator of plenty of promise from the 23-year-old.
After McDermott and Silk both fell, the match was again in some doubt, but Milenko stepped up with a decisive 50 that took only 29 balls, rushing Tasmania to their second win in as many matches and Queensland to a second consecutive defeat.
