Toss India chose to bat vs Australia
On what Harmanpreet said was a "good batting wicket", India opted for four spinners in Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, N Sree Charani, Radha Yadav and a sole pace bowler in Kranti Goud. Renuka Singh, who was named in the squad for the series, is not a part of the XI.
Australia, meanwhile, went in with the same XI they had fielded in their last ODI - the Ashes, which they won 3-0, in January. Georgia Wareham, Alana King and Ash Gardner are their spinners, while Megan Schutt and Kim Garth are their fast bowlers. There were no surprises in the batting line-up of either squad.
This will also be a landmark ODI for Harmanpreet and Schutt, who are set to play their 150th and 100th ODIs respectively.
