Hobart Hurricanes win by 25 runs after staging a remarkable turnaround after the powerplay. It was started by Riley Meredith and turbo-charged by a brilliant spell, and three-wicket over, by Qais Ahmad. The pitch was tough for free scoring, only D'Arcy Short really settled in, and there was some good bowling on both sides but it's Qais who will rightly take the attention. It's a quick turnaround for both sides as they both play again on Sunday. There's more BBL action today with the Melbourne Stars getting their tournament underway against the Brisbane Heat and you can follow all the action here. For now, though, that's all from here. Thanks for joining us.

Faulkner to Manenti, OUT

and that's it! He moves all around his crease then just manages to slice this to short third man

Faulkner to Silk, OUT

great catch, that's the match! Full and straight, Silk plays effectively a slog sweep, doesn't get far off the ground and Short does brilliantly at deep square to take it low at the ground.

Jordan Silk c Short b Faulkner 22 (30b 0x4 0x6) SR: 73.33

28 needed off 12. Silk needs to find the boundary, or let Manenti do it. Faulkner at the death

full at off stump, swung to deep midwicket

16.5
6
Milenko to Manenti, SIX runs

connects this time! Drops it short, that's a powerful pull which goes well back into the stand at deep square

16.4
1
Milenko to Silk, 1 run

gets himself room outside leg and drives to cover, would have been close with a direct hit...would have been well out, in fact

16.3
1
Milenko to Manenti, 1 run

on the stumps, heaved to deeps square leg

16.2
1
Milenko to Silk, 1 run

length ball, another cutter, not much timing as he swings to midwicket

16.1
Milenko to Silk, no run

length ball outside off, a slower ball, he swings and gets a bottom edge that bobbles back to the keeper

So it's 46 needed off four with Meredith and Qais finished
