reverse sweeps at the last ball, trickles to short third
AUS Women vs PAK Women, 9th Match, Group A at Birmingham, CWG 2022, Aug 03 2022 - Match Result
Beth Mooney and McGrath's 141-run partnership is AUS-W's highest for the 3rd wicket in WT20Is, breaking the record of 135 between Meg Lanning and McGrath
Alyssa Healy has broken the record for playing the most WT20Is (130), going past Wyatt-Hodge
Australia win by 44 runs in what was a very strong all-round performance. They way they responded to their early struggles with the bat was a masterclass. Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath were outstanding with their century stand. Pakistan never threatened in the chase but Fatima Sana at least showed some encouraging signs towards the end. This win means Australia top the group which will be important if the semi-final is washed out. They won't know who they play until tomorrow, but it's either England or New Zealand. The race for the second semi-final spot from this group is between India and Barbados. We'll have coverage of that one for you in a few hours. But for now, from Gnasher and Danyal, it's goodbye and thanks for joining us.
