30.4 to MH Cross, Zazai has done it again! Flying full-length to his right and picking up a stunner! Right on the tips of the webbing. And it crowns a brilliant delivery from Shapoor, used his height, banged it in shortish and then gets it to straighten to add to the menace. Cross appears to defend with a bit of an open face and pays for it. 132/6
32.5 to JH Davey, Hamid doesn't need to be bowling to pull off an outrageous celebration! Raced in from mid-off, dives forward and picks up a lovely catch to dismiss Davey. Poor shot - a drive on the up to a fuller delivery outside off - especially considering Afghanistan had brought Shapoor back for the express purpose of wickets. And the celebration - Hamid spreads his hands wide with just as wide a smile and tries to roll back and over his head. Doesn't quite succeed though. 134/7
49.1 to RM Haq, clears his front leg and throws his all at a fuller ball outside off. He's held himself back to try and get Scotland to this point, but with only six balls remaining this was the way to go. Only he gets a thick edge that goes high towards point. Naib is down there, has to contend with a swirler and does it well as he dives to his left to hold on to a great catch. 206/9
49.6 to AC Evans, length ball on off stump, Evans clears that front leg and scythes away at the ball. Doesn't get all of it as the ball falls into the safe hands of Nabi in the covers. 210/10
1012932.90484020
1.6 to CS MacLeod, picked him out at backward point! He bowled a beauty earlier, this was begging to be hit. Short, wide, four written all over it but Najibullah at point disagrees. Puts his hands up over his head to cut the cut shot down to size. MacLeod cannot believe what he's done. 7/1
11.1 to KJ Coetzer, top of off! He's been reluctant to move his feet, he's tried to drive by simply trusting his hands. This time Dawlat gets a fuller delivery to swerve in and exploit the gap between bat and pad.. 40/3
36.4 to RD Berrington, and he delivers! Signals to the fans on the grass banks after trapping Berrington with the one that goes away. A set up as good as any bowler from the major nations. Good length ball brings him forward and hard hands jab at the ball. The outside edge is taken and Zazai is impregnable behind the stumps. Dives to his right and picks up a good low catch. 144/8
1013213.20455000
10.5 to HJW Gardiner, full, straight, Gardiner plays all around it and sees the finger raised. Afghanistan are rewarded for keeping to a good plan in helpful conditions and credit to them for staying patient for the batsman to commit an error. Shouldn't have looked to play across the line to a ball that was not darting around. Pinned him in front of the stumps and he has to walk back. Albeit not without a long discussion about DRS. Think he made the right call not to go for it. 38/2
905315.88318020
22.2 to PL Mommsen, beautifully done! Terrific accuracy from Gulbadin, nagging away on that off stump line and making the ball nibble this way and that. Mommsen is tentative on the push again and feathers and edge to the keeper. 95/5
1003813.80341020
21.2 to MW Machan, he didn't need to do that. He's been nurdling the ball around and trusting his timing to help Scotland recover. This time he tries to make room for himself and clatter a good length ball through the covers. Misses his swing and ends up with his off stump knocked back. Looks disgusted with himself. Bad time for a mistake. Complicated what was essentially a straight delivery. 93/4

19.6 to Mohammad Nabi, full and seemed to be sliding down. But not to the umpire's eyes. A little chat with the non-striker and up they go for the review. It was a fuller ball, going on with the angle in at the batsman. Nabi looks for a flick and misses. Wears it low enough on the pad and HawkEye says about 20 percent of the ball would be hitting the stumps - that's just shaving the stumps - and the umpire's original call of out stands. 88/4
23.4 to Gulbadin Naib, Haq's on fire and Naib's been bounced out! He was afraid of being hit by the ball and midway through taking evasive action he realises the ball wasn't quite a short as it had seemed in his mind. Fends it away and it lobs up to behind gully. Only it hung in the air long enough for Haq to run to his right from first slip and grab it by his fingertips. 97/7
1013023.00453040
7.3 to Nawroz Mangal, not this time! Gets a fuller ball to nip back in and catch Mangal's feet dozing. Evans yells in delight after hitting the uncertain length just outside off and getting that 'just enough' movement to beat the batsman and toppled his stumps. 42/1
7.6 to Asghar Afghan, so Evans trusts his height and elicits just enough bounce off the back of a length delivery to have Stanikzai nicking off. Double-wicket over and he is bringing Scotland back on his own. 46/2
1004514.50411410
46.5 to Samiullah Shinwari, length ball on middle and Shenwari has picked out deep midwicket! Haq goes mad, Shenwari is on his knees in despair! What an innings! What a performance! What passion! And spare a thought for Davey on the boundary, who kept calm and pouched a good, pressure catch. But wait... the third umpire is asking him to wait. He's checking if Scotland have adhered to the field restrictions. You're allowed four outside the circle. How many did Scotland have? They had the right people and Shenwari has to walk and he does so while counting the men on the deep in his mind. 192/9
1004044.00374020
18.1 to Javed Ahmadi, that's high into the air. More height than distance and Machan has claimed a smart take to send the Scottish fans into cheers. The batsman threw his head down straight away after he raced down the track and chose to go for a smite down the ground despite getting to the pitch of the ball. Hit a bit too far up on the bat and lost all his timing. 85/3
20.6 to Afsar Zazai, full on off stump, Zazai gets in line quite well but then fails to connect! Stands plumb in front. Dibbly-dobbly medium pace has been quite effective on this pitch and Berrington benefits for keeping it simple. 89/5
22.6 to Najibullah Zadran, there we go, Haq's made amends and Berrington has two in two overs! Floated the offcutter up to pull the drive on the up, becomes a thick outside edge and Haq at first slip moves to his right and picks up a reverse cup. The Scottish fans have flipped the volume back up in Dunedin.. 96/6
34.6 to Dawlat Zadran, but this will help Scotland! A rush of blood from Dawlat as he sizes up a length ball and throws his bat at it. Spies his bat as soon as it made contact, realising that he had not timed it at all. Mommsen runs back from short cover, takes a great catch staring up into the stun and tumbles over. Fielding to the fore again! And Shenwari bangs his bat into the turf at the non-strikers' end and stares daggers at Dawlat as he walks past him. 132/8
