10.25pm: Right, that's a wrap from Mumbai. South Africa racked 'em up once again with another monster performance batting first; Bangladesh's reply was dogged, but even Mahmdullah's hundred couldn't prevent a heavy defeat that sees them sink to the bottom of the standings. Danyal's report is on it way with the vengeful fury of a Heinrich Klaasen six, and we'll be back for more with Australia vs Netherlands tomorrow. Bye!

10.15pm: Let's hear from the captains, starting with Shakib Al Hasan: "I thought we bowled well for 35 overs, took a few wickets and going at five an over. From thereon they kicked on, especally Quinton, he batted really well and the way Klaasen finished it off. On a ground like this it can happen like that. Been some talk about Mushfiq and Mahmud batting up the order. The top five who are not scoring need to score more and then we can get more out of them. At the moment India, NZ and SA are the three teams that look like they can win the title. But anything can happen, a long way to go. Lot to learn and a lot to play for. We want to finish, if not semi-finalists then five or six. We can still do it, I'm hopeful we can come back stronger."

And South Africa's Aiden Markram: "Tough to grind it out to the end, but we had to get ten wickets. Still a great day. [Finishing off with ball] Sometimes we find ourselves in two minds, whether to go death or not. The guys have worked quite hard on their plans. Mahmudullah got in and played very well. We went death and there were some good signs, even if one or two were missed. [Batting] What Quinny did was superb and then Klaasen walks in and smashes it. Everyone approaches it differently but it gels quite nicely. We keep striving to put in big performances. [Chasing a worry] Not necessarily, we had a chat before. It's just the way things have gone. The more you win batting first the more you lean that way. But once we get one chase under the belt, and the blueprint, then hopefully we'll be a good team at chasing. [Ngidi] Hopefully he can recover well over the next couple of days and be ready for Pakistan."

10.08pm: It was a slow death for Bangladesh, but no doubt about the cause. The SA batting juggernaut crushed them during another brutal display, and the result was a foregone conclusion long before Mahmudullah battled through to a third World Cup hundred. None of his team-mates scored more than 22, as the South Africa attack shared the wickets around. They might be a bit concerned at failing to kill the game off sooner, but at the end of the day it's another emphatic result

Quinton de Kock is Player of the Match for his 174 off 140: "I was a bit more tired than satisfied. Great day out, everyone played their part. Nice to get points on the board. [Change of WC fortunes?] Not too sure, first time inexperience... it's just happening, I guess. [150th cap] I was a bit nervous this morning, don't normally get nervous at all. Had a bit of fun, great to get two points. [Klaasen] Been amazing, I need some of the juice he's having. He's been special, for every team he's played for. Taking the tournament by storm."
