finishes it off in style, with a massive six over deep mid-wicket after having curbed his attacking instincts through the middle stages. That's the match, a fairly convincing win for the Gladiators
Zalmi vs Gladiators, 3rd Match at Dubai, PSL, Feb 15 2019 - Match Result
Gladiators won by 6 wickets (with 2 balls remaining)
Daren Sammy has broken the record for most catches by a fielder (14) in T20s for PZ, going past Hafeez's 13
Misbah-ul-Haq and Liam Dawson's 53-run partnership is PZ's highest for the 5th wicket in T20s, breaking the record of 52 between Brad Hodge and Kamran Akmal
Not many players divide opinion as much as the Akmal brothers. Both of them had excellent games here, but it was the younger Umar's little gem, an unbeaten 75, that helped the Gladiators off to a winning start, after they found themselves in a spot of bother at 34 for two. He started with a flurry of boundaries, rotated the strike expertly through the middle and batted through to the end to see his team home. He had support from his captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, as the duo stitched a vital 62-run stand for the fourth-wicket, despite some frenetic running between the wickets. That's all from us. length on off, spotted the slower ball and swatted it past midwicket and it raced to the fence to release the pressure that had built over the last few balls
srk: "Dwaye Smith in middle-order has not had much success, i think QG might be wasting one of Int'l spot for him by keeping him in middle-order"
