A round-up of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver League matches that ended on October 26, 2014

Group II

Left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman scored a first-innings half-century and finished with a match haul of nine wickets, as Habib Bank Limited crushed Faisalabad Wolves by an innings and 70 runs at the Iqbal Stadium.
After being inserted, Habib Bank managed to post 332, thanks to fifties from Fakhar Zaman (69), Asad Baig(72) and Rehman (50). Imran Ali was the pick of Wolves' bowlers, taking 3 for 94, while Faisal Yasin, Fahim Ashraf and Shehroz Raza chipped in with two apiece.
Wolves, though, failed to gather any momentum in their response, and were bundled out for 166 in 62 overs. A few of their middle-order batsmen made starts, but none could produce more than 36, as Rehman collected 4 for 65 to secure a massive 166-run lead. Habib Bank enforced the follow on, and subsequently wrapped up a big win in 36 overs as Wolves collapsed again. They were dismissed for a paltry 96, as Rehman took 5 for 53 and Umar Gul 4 for 19, to complete the victory inside three days.

Group I

Pakistan Television also completed a comprehensive win inside three days, as the seamer Mohammad Abbas picked up eight wickets in the game to help the team crush Quetta Bears by an innings and 62 runs in Islamabad.
Abbas picked up 4 for 84 in the first innings while Usman Ashraf collected 4 for 38, as Quetta Bears, having opted to bat, were bundled out for 194 inside 53 overs. The opener Shahzad Tareen was the only batsman to get going, scoring 60, as the team's next highest contribution came from Zainullah at No.11, who compiled 40.
Zainullah then followed this knock with a four-for of his own, taking 4 for 26, but Pakistan Television managed to hit 307, earning a massive lead of 113. Their innings was built around fifties from Mohammad Naeem (64) and Nawaz Ahmed (81), and a 146-run partnership for the third wicket.
Quetta Bears then completely collapsed in their second essay, being bowled out for 51 in 16.5 overs, and with just two players managing double-digit scores. Abbas contributed with 4 for 13, while the left-arm fast bowler Waqar Ahmed finished with 6 for 38, as the seamers wrapped up the big win.
