Assam 58 for 3 trail Karnataka 452 (Uthappa 153, KL Rahul 91, K Das 4-101) by 394 runs
Shreyas Gopal ensured Assam's reply to Karnataka's 452 didn't get off to an ideal start by taking two top-order wickets for six runs to leave the batting side wobbling at 58 for 3 on the second day of the quarter-final in Indore.
Karnataka began the second day on 302 for 2 and could add only 150 runs to their total as Assam's bowlers, led by pacer Krishna Das, struck regularly. R Samarth (46), Manish Pandey (36) Shreyas Gopal (38) and CM Gautam (44*) got starts and helped the side move past 400, but could not carry on and play a big knock. Das finished with 4 for 101, picking the key wickets of Samarth and Pandey.
Assam batted for 27 overs before stumps were drawn on the second day with Gokul Sharma and KB Arun Karthik still at the crease
