A 90-run partnership for the last wicket between Darshan Misal and No. 11 Rituraj Singh - who both struck fifties - delayed Punjab's innings victory against Goa in Porvorim.
The hosts began the day on 67 for 2 and slumped to 122 for 8 in 30.2 overs on the final day. Amit Yadav added 44 with Misal to push the score beyond 150. Misal and Rituraj's stand then came at a run-rate of nearly eight. Goa's innings eventually ended at 256 when left-arm spinner Vinay Choudhary had Rituraj caught by Jiwanjot Singh - who had hit a double-century in the first innings - for 51 off 42 balls. Choudhary and legspinner Raghu Sharma finished with three wickets each.
Offspinner Gurvinder Singh's career-best 6 for 52 in the second innings helped him complete his maiden ten-wicket match haul as Himachal Pradesh bowled Services out for 228 to register a 97-run victory at Palam ground in Delhi. The win took Himachal to the top of Group D.
Services, who resumed their pursuit of 326 from an overnight score of 28 for 1, had lost half their side inside the 46th over of the final day. Opener Ravi Chauhan held one end up until the 72nd over, before falling to left-arm spinner Akash Vasisht for 97. Chauhan's dismissal triggered a collapse that saw Services fold for 228 after being 192 for 5. No other Services batsman could make more than 30. Gurvinder was named Player of the Match.
Karn Sharma made an unbeaten fifty on Vidarbha debut and Umesh Yadav took three wickets in the second innings, but the hosts had to settle for a point after conceding the first-innings lead to Chhattisgarh in Nagpur.
Vidarbha had begun the day on 331 for 6, 158 behind Chhattisgarh's 489. Overnight batsmen Karn and Apoorv Wankhade added 40 on the final day before their partnership was cut short on 62. Karn then played second fiddle in a 39-run stand for the eight wicket with Akshay Karnewar (26), before left-arm spinner Sumit Ruikar (4-98) took two wickets in three balls. The final wicket was worth 25 runs, but Karn's 52* could only take Vidarbha as far as 435.
Chhattisgarh ended their second innings on 195 for 9, with only three batsmen passing 25. Jatin Saxena was the most successful of them, making 75 before becoming the last man dismissed in the match. Umesh and Karnewar took three wickets each, while Karn finished with two.
