Three wickets from Jackson Bird helped Tasmania into a strong position on the second day of their clash with New South Wales at Bankstown Oval, where the Blues went to stumps on 6 for 150. They still trailed by 145 runs after Tasmania were earlier dismissed for 295, and at the close of play Kurtis Patterson was the key on 56, and Sean Abbott had 16.
