9.03 pm: And that brings us to the end of our coverage for this match and series too. On behalf of Sreshth, Himanshu, Thilak and Raghav, this is Saurabh Somani signing off.

The BCB president hands over the trophy to Tamim. Bangladesh have won the series of course, and Sri Lanka have won the match. Something for everyone.

Kusal Perera: Badly needed win, but we lost the series. My innings, I took calculated risks in the first 10 overs. Once I get set, I try to bat for 30-35 overs. I took my chances and once you get set you have to get a big one. 50-60 is not enough for the team, so once I got set I changed gears to try and bat long. Our bowling department did a really good job. Our only concern in the first two games was the batting. Otherwise fielding and bowling we have done well. Some of the guys coming into touch is a good sign.

Mushfiqur Rahim is the Man of the Series: I think the boys did a great job, they worked really hard for this series. Last couple of months we haven't played our best cricket but luckily we executed our plans well in the first two games. Unfortunately we couldn't finish it off on a high. Playing international cricket for 15+ years, you need to contribute more and more for your country and that's what I try to do each game. Sri Lanka are not an easy side to play against, they never give up and come hard. I really enjoyed (the pressure). Whenever there is pressure or expectation, I try to stay calm. I know the opponent might also think I'm a big player, that gives me an edge.

Dushmantha Chameera is the Man of the Match: Very happy with the way I bowled. Good performance on a comeback. Was not under pressure coming into this series. Pleased with the role I'm playing for Sri Lanka and how I'm bowling.

Tamim Iqbal: As I said at the end of the last game and beginning of this game, we have won the series but I thought we never played a complete game. We didn't play to our potential in this series. After winning the series, I can tell you there are a few areas to work on.

They had a very attacking mindset coming into this game and we helped them do that. We bowled too short. We didn't grab our opportunities, missed two catches at important times, and could have probably got 30 runs less to chase. (Dependency on seniors a worry?) It is, but I am someone who keeps believing in youngsters. I don't point fingers at them, because I know how hard they try. If they perform we will become a better team but it's always easy to criticise. I'm not someone who will criticise my own players.

There are lots of things I want to achieve individually and as a leader of this team.

8.54 pm: Presentations coming up.

While waiting for the presentations, here's something from off the field in Sri Lanka. Aravinda de Silva, the legendary former player, has said the current players shouldn't complain about their contracts and focus on winning instead.

Just to refresh, Aravinda has played possibly the best game anyone has ever had in a World Cup final. Best batsman, best bowler, all-round champion. It's the performance Mahela Jaywardene recently said he wished he had in his career. (And Mahela is not alone, we've all wished for the same in front of our mirrors).

8.38 pm: Sri Lanka have got 10 Super League points and lifted themselves off the negative points they had (for slow over-rate). They will be pleased with this win, dead rubber or not. There's a big difference between losing 2-1 and 3-0, and Sri Lanka had a lot of good performances to take away from this game. Kusal Perera and Dushmantha Chameera led the way of course with bat and ball, but there were several useful nuggets of contribution from a host of others too. Three players on debut too, and it's always nice to start your careers with such a commanding win.

Fernando to Mahmudullah, OUT

caught behind on the ramp. That is that and Sri Lanka have won by 97 runs. This was a slower ball, dug in short. Mahmudullah hasn't been reading the changes of pace that well, moved across to ramp it, was way too early into the shot and ended up getting a toe-end that Dickwella jumped up and caught.

slower bouncer, and he didn't read the change of pace, so had to bail out of the intended pull shot. Bounced in front of the keeper who couldn't collect, and it runs away behind him for four byes.

The Fizz is the last man, but he'll be at the bowler's end.

stumped by a mile. He's actually caught behind first. Shoriful danced down the track, and Hasranga bowled the perfectly flighted googly to the left-hander. Dipped on him, and spun away, even as he swung his bat in a golf arc, got a thick edge that Dickwella snapped up, and broke the bails too for good effect with the batsman well out of his crease.
