Andhra recovered from a tremendous onslaught from Robin Uthappa to trigger a spectacular Karnataka collapse and achieve a 36-run victory in Chennai. Chasing 150, Uthappa launched Karnataka's innings by blitzing 64 runs off 20 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes. Karnataka were 79 for 3 of 5.4 overs when he was dismissed by Sarath Babu, already more than halfway to the target. They didn't even get close, though. Shaik Noushad took 3 for 10 and G Elaizar 2 for 7 for Andhra as eight wickets fell for 34 runs. Karnataka were eventually dismissed for 113 in the 16th over. Andhra had a more sedate start to their innings, and were 72 for 2 after 13.3 overs when Manoj Sai fell. Gnaneswara Rao scored 51 off 31 balls to lead them to 149 for 7. NC Aiyappa took 2 for 17 for Karnataka.
A team performance helped Tamil Nadu register a comfortable 63-run win against Hyderabad at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College Ground in Chennai, to top the South Zone table. After Tamil Nadu chose to bat, their openers S Anirudha and M Vijay laid a firm platform. The pair put on 70, before part-time offspinner T Suman got rid of them in quick succession. Neeraj Bist claimed Abhinav Mukund for a duck, as the hosts wobbled, but three knocks of 20-odd followed form the middle order to carry them to 161 for 5. The chase never really got going. Only three Hyderabad batsmen got into double figures, though, no one managed to go past 18. The Tamil Nadu bowlers shared the wickets around, with fast bowler Yo Mahesh the pick - he finished with the miserly figures of 3 for 6 in his four overs.
Padmanabhan Prasanth and Prasanth Parameswaran took three wickets apiece to spearhead Kerala's defence of 138 for 6 against Goa in Chennai. Goa were well-placed at 98 for 3 in 15.4 overs but they collapsed thereafter, losing seven wickets for 16 runs to be bowled out for 114. Abhishek Raut, who made 40 off 42 balls, was their top scorer. Kerala had also suffered a middle-order blip in their innings, after Raiphi Gomez scored 52 off 42 balls at the top. They were only 112 for 6 when Sachin Baby, who made 30 off 27 balls, fell off the first ball of the 19th over. Prasanth, however, smashed 20 off 8 balls to help Kerala score 26 off the last 11 deliveries.

Delhi chased down 122 off the last ball to complete a four-wicket win against Jammu & Kashmir at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rohtak. J&K were put in, and the only real contribution with the bat for them came from middle order batsmen Parvez Rassol and Hardeep Singh, who scored 32 and 33 respectively. After an expensive first match, Ashish Nehra put in a tidy performance. He claimed the openers' wickets in his two overs, and conceded only nine runs. Delhi's reply was steered by their captain Mithun Manhas, who made 52 off 55 balls. Delhi went into the final over needing around ten runs to win and were dented when Manhas was caught off Abid Nabi's bowling off the second ball. Puneet Mehra was run out soon after without facing a ball, giving J&K the edge. But Pawan Negi managed to pull his side through, with a couple of big hits.
Punjab defended 148 against Himachal Pradesh at the Delhi Public School ground in Rohtak, to win their second of two matches. Mandeep Singh shone for Punjab after they chose to bat, slamming an unbeaten 59 off 30 balls with five sixes and four fours. The rest of the line-up batted around Mandeep to bring up their total of 148 for 6. Himachal's opening batsman Abhinav Bali made a fluent 74 in reply, but his side still fell short by 16 runs as none of the other batsmen provided adequate support. Bali was dismissed by left-arm spinner Rajwinder Singh, who was the pick of the Punjab bowlers.
Haryana's batsmen, led by Ajit Chandila, chased down a modest target against Services to secure an eight-wicket victory with 15 balls to spare in in Rohtak. Chandila made 57 off 46 balls and put on 68 for the second wicket with Sunny Singh, who was unbeaten on 38, to help Haryana reach 130 for 2 in 17.3 overs. The win, however, was set up by Haryana's bowlers who restricted Services to 127 for 8. Yuzvendra Chahal took 3 for 14 while Joginder Sharma claimed 2 for 24. Yashpal Singh, the captain, top-scored for Services with 44.

A combined effort from Saurashtra's bowlers helped secure an eight-run win against Maharashtra in Rajkot. Chasing 167, Harshad Khadiwale scored 47 off 31 balls at the top or the order for Maharashtra but there was no support from anyone else. Seven of his team-mates got into double figures but no one made more than 20. Jaidev Unadkat took 3 for 16 for Saurashtra, while Siddharth Trivedi, Sandip Maniar and Nayan Doshi took two each as Maharastra were dismissed for 158 off the last ball of their innings. Saurashtra had made a shaky start to their innings and were 46 in 7.2 overs at the fall of the third wicket. Sheldon Jackson scored 31 off 20 balls to give the innings direction and Kuldeep Raval provided a powerful finish, scoring 58 off 26 balls to lead his team to 166 for 5.
Mumbai's strong all-round performance secured victory against Gujarat by a whopping 78-run margin in Rajkot. Mumbai's openers, Sushant Marathe and Wasim Jaffer, put on 79 for the first wicket after they were sent in. Though Marathe was dismissed for 41 off 28 balls, Jaffer went on to make 70 off 51 deliveries. Jaffer put on 68 for the second wicket with Suryakumar Yadav, who smashed 37 off 18 balls, and helped Mumbai reach 194 for 9. Mumbai's opening bowlers, Iqbal Abdulla and Ankeet Chavan, struck in each of their first overs to reduce Gujarat to 5 for 2. The chase did not recover as wickets continued falling rapidly. Chavan and Abdulla finished with identical figures of 2 for 21, while Shoaib Shaikh claimed 3 for 27 to help dismiss Gujarat for 116.

Central Zone

Madhya Pradesh's bowlers, led by Ankit Sharma who took 3 for 18, set up a seven-wicket win for their team by restricting Rajasthan to 126 for 9 in Indore. Rajasthan were struggling at 86 for 7 in 14.1 overs before Puneet Yadav's unbeaten 48 off 35 balls led them past 100. Jalaj Saxena took 2 for 32 for MP. The chase got off to a bad start with Mohnish Mishra out for a duck and MP were soon 26 for 2. Saxena, however, anchored the innings with 47 off 42 balls. He put on 86 for the third wicket with Harpreet Singh, who made 38, as MP reached the target in 16.1 overs.
Parvinder Singh's unbeaten 52 off 37 balls helped Uttar Pradesh secure a five-wicket win against Vidarbha in Indore. Chasing 159 for victory, UP had slipped to 42 for 3 in 7.4 overs before Parvinder began to steady the innings. The acceleration was provided first by Piyush Chawla, who made 27 off 13 balls, and then by Eklavya Dwivedi, who blitzed 38 off 16 balls. UP reached the target with eight balls to spare. Vidarbha had made a similar start to their innings as UP did, losing their third wicket on 42 in 7.1 overs. They did not have the same propulsion towards the end though, with Gaurav Upadhyaya's 31 off 18 balls being the top score. Sudep Tyagi took 3 for 22 as Vidarbha made 158 for 7.
