16.2 to GSNFG Jayasuriya, looks for the slog sweep, gets a top edge, this will be a difficult take for the bowler running backwards and looking over his head. Reaches out to try and get the swirling ball under control and he does brilliantly. Hitting against the turn does not work for Shehan, but this is late enough in the innings that you can't fault his shot selection. Impressive little innings. Showed he could work through a bit of trouble early and unfurled a lovely range of shots. 155/3

9.4 to MDKJ Perera, slower ball works! Pollard usually has a knack for this. Big, burly build. Last man you want to meet in a dark alley build. But he ambles in and bowls as if he has the muscles of a 10-year old. Kusal had lunged down the track and is there an age too early. he tries to adjust, delay his bat coming down, but does not do it well enough. The belt through cover becomes a catch spooned to Sammy. 91/1
11.5 to TM Dilshan, bowled off the switch hit, and Pollard pulls out a novel celebration. Turns around away from the batsman and appears to be reading an imaginary book. Loopy slower ball that sneaks through the splayed legs of the batsman as he suddenly became a left-hander looking for the slog sweep. Ball goes under his bat and topples off stump. Lovely bowling from Pollard. Strong under pressure. Bowled from way behind the popping crease as well to get the ball to float up and hang in the air and dip after that.. 101/2

0.2 to J Charles, 133 kph, yorker on middle and off goes the top! Curls away from leg stump and bangs into the base of middle like it was a heat-seeker. Pristine start from Sri Lanka's captain and Johnson Charles is out for a duck. 0/1
17.6 to JE Taylor, skier, swirler, difficult one, but not to Chandimal at deep square leg. Had his eyes all the way on it. Was nicely balanced under it, and let it come down into his hands. Lovely technique. This was a length ball that Taylor wanted to send into orbit. But hadn't accounted for the change of pace. 168/9

4.2 to MN Samuels, you beauty! Sachi held the ball back, as though he had skipped to the future and knew Samuels would be running down the track. The batsman continued with the shot despite the fact. Went high rather than long and Milinda Siriwardana takes a wonderful skier running around at deep midwicket. 29/2
12.4 to DJ Bravo, goes back over the wicket and he strikes! Bravo was looking for the late cut. And it was there. Short delivery wide of off stump, should have been easy pickings, but the batsman gets a lot finer touch than he intended and Kusal takes a good catch. Yelped out about three different appeals in glee until the finger was raised. Stayed low and moved with the ball. 137/5
14.2 to DJG Sammy, Kapu gets a lot simpler chance to ease the disappointment of not pulling off that screamer earlier. This one is getting done early folks. It was a short ball, Sammy had set up for the flat-batted pull. Again the right shot, but the execution is not the best. 143/7
14.3 to JO Holder, another one does down trying to go up and over. Its the one-finger slider again from Sachi, like the last ball. Holder runs down the ground to heave it away. Drags it to straight midwicket where Siriwardana takes a very composed catch. 143/8

8.1 to ADS Fletcher, goes away from his status quo, gets the surprise factor in his favour, and he has a wicket to his name! Well done. Everyone goes ga ga about his pace, but here is some guile. He had been pasted for three sixes because of his extra few yards and now he starts off with the legcutter. Fletcher made room to cut from the stumps, but he was early into the set up. So he has to wait midway through the shot and time it perfectly. He does not and loses his off stump. 86/4
4041210.2583310
7.3 to AD Russell, bye, bye baby! Round arm dart does the trick. Russell should not have hung back on that one. Worse still, he was trying to launch a near yorker down the ground for a six. The ball slinks below his bat and topples his sticks. Awful shot. Like I said, he was just concentrating on power. Nothing else. 77/3
13.1 to KA Pollard, the biggest grin you will ever see comes from Kula after the easiest catch in the world! Bad finish for Pollard. Another ball that was there in the slot, but somehow when he actually had to have torn the leather off the ball, he seems to just have chipped it. Carries clean to the long-on fielder. 139/6
0.5011113.2021010
19.5 to SP Narine, and bingo was his name-o! Sri Lanka will retain their No. 1 ranking in T20s. Quick and on target, it was seam up as well instead of the offie. Narine misses, Shehan hits. 185/10
