Hopefully the weather is fine there and we get to watch a good game of cricket. Till then, that's it from here. On behalf of Andrew, Alex and Vairavan, this is Srivathsa signing off. There's a whole heap of cricket action going on around the world. Do check that out as well as all the analysis and reaction on this platform. Thanks for the feedback and keep them coming in. Till next time, stay safe and take care. Ta, ta!

3pm And that's that. The game has been called off. It was inevitable from the moment one saw the radar today in Adelaide. So successive washouts means the multi-format series is now 4-2 in favor of Australia with 4 points available for the Test starting Thursday. That game starts at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.

More reading material: South Africa may have wrapped up the ODI series against India but there's trouble brewing with regards to their coach Mark Boucher.

Rob: "Assuming Beth returns.... Mooney, Lanning, Haynes, Perry, McGrath, Gardner, Jonassen, Healy, Shooter, D. Brown, Wellington, "

2.45pm The rain continues to come down and it is pouring at the moment. Not good news at all.

Jack: "Here's my Aussie selection Sri: 1. Haynes 2. Redmayne 3. Lanning 4. Perry 5. McGrath 6. Healy 7. Sutherland 8. Jonassen 9. King 10. Schutt 11. Brown"

In IPL-related news, a total of 1214 players have registered themselves for the big auction scheduled on the 12th and 13th of February. Some big names missing from that list though.

As the rain continues to fall, not a great start for England in their T20I series against West Indies in the Caribbean. Jason Holder with a match-winning performance on his home ground. Matt Roller writes on the big man's hold over England in Barbados.

Thanks Andrew. Let's get a conversation started. What would be your playing XIs for the Ashes Test starting on Thursday?

2.20pm Things aren't looking very promising but I'll hand over to Srivathsa for a bit.

2.10pm Mott also said that Beth Mooney could be considered for the Test match. "She's in good nick. We'll certainly look at her for the Test match. All the indications are looking very positive. She's been up and about. She's a warrior. She's tough. We can't wait to have her back in our group."

1.50pm Matthew Mott, the Australia head coach, has spoken to Channel Seven about Tayla Vlaeminck: "It was a pretty sombre dressing room last night. I spoke to the group about what it would look like for her and we all went through it before, leading into that T20 World Cup. She knows what it's about, she's come back before and that's what we've got to hold out hope for. That she'll be very well managed. We'll put our arm around her and do everything we can to build her back up."

Jack: "If multi format tours like these are going to be the way forward, there needs to be thought on maybe adding reserve days or having greater flexibility to ensure a match gets played" - Perhaps something to ponder when things are bit more normal. It became a tight squeeze to fit this tour in as it was given the changes needed around Covid.

Andrew Leckonby: "So if this is also washed out then Ashes can be retained with a win in the Test?" Yep, if points are shared here and Australia win the Test it would 8-2 with only six points available in the three ODIs

1.30pm Danny: "I'm no weatherman, but to me the radar looks worse than yesterday - tell me I'm wrong!" - I would say you aren't entirely incorrect

Rebecca : "Watching from Massachusetts, after getting to bed early last night my husband and I were excited at the chance of a great game today! Stupid rain!"

It's the same cut-off as yesterday to get a game started: 3.37pm local time. And we'll start losing overs straightaway

1.20pm A reminder that after this match, the multi-format series switches to Test mode in Canberra starting on Thursday - that game is worth four points for the win - before three ODIs early next month to finish things off.

Jack: "I'm gutted for Vlaeminck. She looked good in the first game. I fear that her career will be highlighted by the injury setback she has. Reminds me of Shane Bond to some respect."

Here's an updated tally of Australia's injuries: Beth Mooney (jaw), Georgia Wareham (ACL), Sophie Molineux (foot stress fracture), Tayla Vlaeminck (foot stress fracture)

1.10pm Not a promising start. The toss has been delayed. Have to say, the radar doesn't look great.

The other significant story this morning is that, as things stand, there won't be free-to-air coverage of any of the Women's ODI World Cup matches in Australia.

1.00pm Hello and welcome to what we hope will be coverage of the third T20I in this multi-format Ashes series. The rain beat everyone yesterday and the forecast isn't great for this one but fingers crossed we can get a game. The big news already today is around Tayla Vlaeminck who, sadly, has been ruled out of another World Cup with a stress fracture. It is the same foot that forced her to miss the 2020 T20 World Cup.
