The Technical Committee of the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 has approved a replacement player for Australia ahead of its first match in the ICC Champions Trophy.

Off-spinner Daniel Cullen has replaced seam bowler Stuart Clark after Clark sustained a thigh injury.

Cullen is the third replacement player the Technical Committee has approved after Zimbabwe's Tafadzwa Mufambisi replaced Vusi Sibanda and Faisal Iqbal of Pakistan replaced Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Australia's opening match in the tournament is on Wednesday 18 October against the second qualifier from the preliminary round of the tournament.

The Technical Committee of the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 is made of the following personnel: David Richardson (chairman, ICC representative), Campbell Jamieson (IDI representative), Ian Bishop (independent nomination), Rameez Raja (independent nomination), MP Pandove (BCCI representative), Prof. R Shetty (tournament director).
