Commentary:19.6 Lee to Yasir Arafat, 1 run, he's missed it! Henriques, the man who lugged Sixers with a brilliant half-century, has fumbled a simple run-out chance! Scorchers sneak through! They've defended their BBL crown! Everyone had come up inside the circle, three short covers, a silly mid-on even. The ball was full and straight again, Arafat went for a flick and found midwicket. The batsmen set off right away for a suicidal single. Henriques got a lovely bounce, but he could not grasp the ball in his hands! Lee is on his knees, head in hands. What a way to bow out of cricket!

Here's what happened... full toss again, Hartley carves with all his might over the men inside the ring in the covers. Ferguson had a lot of room to cover from deep backward point. He had to put in a dive and drag the ball in. It's a matter of inches. He hurls the ball back to the keeper as the batsmen complete three. And then we see the replays... The ball touched the rope before Ferguson could drag it back in! How dramatic is that... He looks distraught as he realises what happened. The Adelaide support staff looks deflated too, and the crowd goes into a collective hush.

Commentary: 19.6 Rimmington to Triffitt, 1 run, down the track and nudged to on side, Ferguson dives and flicks it back. Rimmington near the stumps couldn't collect the ball and they scamper for the run. It seems he has disturbed the stumps as well before. Oh what a game of cricket!

James Faulkner bowls a front foot no ball - which I believe would have been a no ball for having only three in the circle - to concede the game after a topsy-turvy, rain affected night.

An exhibition of late hitting by Jordan Silk, who swung five sixes in his unbeaten 69 from 44 balls, kept the game within the Sixers' sights. Lalor had conceded six runs from his first three overs, but was unable to conceded fewer than 23 in the last over of the night. Silk swung two sixes early in the over to bring it down to eight off two, before Steve O'Keefe edged and swiped two boundaries to secure the win.
