Chris Jordan has been ruled out of the rest of the Hundred after picking up an injury to the middle finger on his right hand.
Jordan suffered the injury when fielding off his own bowling in Southern Brave's defeat to London Spirit on Friday night, getting his finger in the way when Kieron Pollard attempted to swing him down the ground for four.
He continued to bowl in that game and faced four balls with the bat in Brave's run chase, but missed their game against Oval Invincibles on Sunday and has now been ruled out of the tournament altogether.
Brave are expected to sign at least one replacement player before their fixture against Manchester Originals on Thursday night, after Tymal Mills was also ruled out of the tournament.
Mahela Jayawardene, their head coach, said after Sunday's game: "We have a few days before our next game so we will make some plans and see who is out there and available."
Jordan is the latest injury concern for England ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year, though will hope to be fit in time to tour Pakistan in September.
Chris Woakes and Mark Wood are both returning to fitness and will not play any part in the Hundred, while Richard Gleeson, who impressed on debut this summer, has been struggling with a niggle that has ruled him out of all four Originals games so far.
