Hampshire CCC
Sponsorship by Bass Brewers through Grolsch Premium Lager
Hampshire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce their new Club
Sponsor is to be Grolsch Premium Lager a leading brand of
Bass Brewers.
A three year contract has been agreed and commences with immediate
effect through to February 2002. This period will cover a vital time
in the Club's history, with the departure from the County Ground,
Northlands Road at the end of the 2000 season to the new Ground at
West End where First-Class Cricket will commence in the Spring of
2001.
Both Hampshire CCC and Grolsch see their new Sponsorship Agreement as
a partnership helping, not only the development of Cricket in the
County, but increasing Bass Brewers' market share in Southern England.
A comprehensive Sponsorship package will provide an endorsement of
Bass Brewers' range of brands at the Hampshire Grounds and on the
Hampshire Players' clothing. It is also anticipated that Club
facilities will be fully utilized by the Sponsor throughout the term
of the Contract.
Hampshire Marketing Manager, Mike Taylor said, "To be working with one
of the Country's leading Brewers at this crucial period for the club
is not only a very exciting prospect, but a challenging one as well.
We are pleased to Grolsch on board as Club Sponsor."
The value of the Sponsorship is incentive based and will be dependent
on Team performance and the use of facilities, but it is estimated to
be worth in excess of UKP 300,000.
