The former captain of England & Surrey and one time head coach of Hong Kong, Adam Hollioake returns to the HKSAR on Thursday to star at the Ichor International Hong Kong Cricket Festival 2007, taking place at Po Kong Village Road, Kowloon from 30th November - 2nd December.
Hollioake, Wisden's Cricketer of the Year in 2003, is no stranger to sixes cricket having represented England at the Hong Kong International Sixes and starred at the Phuket Sixes and is sure to be a hit at the Festival this weekend.
All rounder Hollioake, 36, was a highly successful captain cricket guiding his side Surrey to three County Championships and also skippered England to victory at the Champions Trophy in Sharjah.
Adam made an unexpected return to English county cricket in 2007 representing Essex.
"I'm really looking forward to being back in Hong Kong to play at the Festival," said Hollioake.
Other stars appearing at the Ichor International Hong Kong Cricket Festival in previous years include Heath Streak, Terry Alderman, Jack Richards and Doug Walters. The first Festival was staged in 2002 at Hong Kong Cricket Club. The 2004 Hong Kong Cricket Festival won a prestigious award from the International Cricket Council for contributing to the development of cricket in the Asia region.
The Festival runs from 9am - 5pm daily from 30th November - 2nd December. Entry for spectators is free and a full bar and refreshments service is provided by Jashan Restaurant and the Kangaroo Bar.
Children and families are especially welcome to enjoy the cricket and the children's bouncy castles in aid of the Make A Wish Foundation of Hong Kong children's charity.
