At Dhaka, January 16 (day/night). Pakistan won by six wickets. Toss: India.
Pakistan pulled level in the only match of the tournament unaffected by fog. Azhar Mahmood gave them the ideal start by bowling Tendulkar in the second over, and only Azharuddin reached 50. Pakistan passed their target of 190 in 32 overs - they needed only 13 to reach three figures, as Saeed Anwar raced to 51 in 40 balls.
Man of the Match: Mohammad Hussain.
